Loy F. Blake started building value in the Blake name in the 1930's. Grandpa Blake was the Mayor of West Point, Utah, a bus driver, farmer, business man, real estate developer, church leader and family man.  He proved that integrity, hard work, sound judgment and fair play are business practices that never go out of style. 

Grandpa Blake taught us that business is built one relationship at a time.  He also taught us that we could both define success and achieve success through the simple practice of 'remembering who we are."

Today, Blake Capital is run by the sons of Dr. Leon H. Blake:  Brett, Brady and Brock (our brother’s Dave and Mark help out from time-to-time, and our sister Darcy is a passive investor).  We invest in people with ideas they are passionate about if we believe they have the capability to commercialize the concept. 

We are heavily invested personally in the companies we finance and we prefer to invest in companies that require more human capital and less financial capital.
